
W. Jamall Rawlinson
Jamall is a graduate of Charleston Southern University with a degree in Communications with an emphasis in theater under the tutelage of Dr. Sharon Willis. Jamall was trained in the techniques of Lee Strasberg and Meisner, and also trained utilizing a strong focus from "An Actor Prepares" by Constantin Stanislavski.
Like many others, Jamall's acting career began on stage. He began with the Clemente Players and performed on various stages, including Horton School of Music and Performing Arts, Flowertown, Threshold Theater, and South of Broadway (where he would direct Ma Rainy's Black Bottom in 2022). Not only performing on stage, Jamall also appeared in over 15 films during his acting career.
With his experience, Jamall started coaching and mentoring up-and-coming actors for the Clemente Players. This led to Jamall's renewed interest in writing and directing. He quickly developed a passion for this side of the arts.
To which Vacant Space Films was born.
